Richmond Park Walk
About the trip
ABOUT THE WALK
Join us with International Yoga Teacher and Wellness Coach, Charlotte Holmes on a group stroll around Richmond Park, London. Charlotte will harness the power of nature to help us unwind and take in one of the city’s most calming environments. Walking alongside and pausing along the way, Charlotte will guide us through grounding exercises, mindful movement, meaningful conversation and breath work (suitable for all levels) to help us drop deeper into the present moment.
ROUTE
This 6.5km walk will start at Peg’s Pond car park (disabled parking only) where there is a cafe and toilets, before taking in the tranquil environment of the Isabella Plantation, a beautiful 40 acre woodland garden set within Richmond Park. We’ll move through the plants and keep an eye out for deer while we make our way towards the Royal Ballet School. We’ll then pass Pen Ponds, home to nesting herons and other bird life, before returning to the car park. We expect our walking time to be around 1 hour 45 minutes, plus stops.
ACCESSIBILITY & SUITABILITY
This walk is open to all and free to join. Whether you’d like to connect with like-minded individuals after experiencing some of life’s stressful challenges, looking forward to sharing a slice of calm in the city, or are joining a friend, we welcome you (and dogs on leads).
The route is mostly flat with only a small, short incline (up to 4%) and is made up of gravel paths, boardwalk and some grass sections. It is wheelchair accessible for those with good wheelchair skills and are comfortable pushing off-road on tracks as described as above. We will of course have volunteers on hand to assist when/if needed. To find more, please reach out.
