A mind blowing alpine experience. Traversing famous passes, staying in high mountain refuges and summiting one of the iconic 4000m+ alpine peaks. A beautiful and challenging few days for any mountain goer or a perfect introduction to mountaineering for those looking for a new adventure.
Sitting on the glacier, having just summited Gran Paradiso, staring out over hundreds of miles of pristine alpine peaks on a perfectly clear day, the warm sun on my face, sipping from a hip flask of whisky, my son by my side, surrounded by new friends. It was a truly special moment that will live with me forever.
I laughed, talked, cried, hugged and walked my way into a better mental space with an amazing group of people. Thank you.
I love the outdoors and walk a lot but to do it with such a lovely group and for such a great cause made the experience unforgettable. I'll be back.
We've hiked over 40 miles, assented 6000m in height, burnt up to 5000 calories a day, walked over 25 hours in total and collectively raised over 35k for charity. It's been absolutely unforgettable but a really tough week and I've pushed myself mentally and physically out of my comfort zone, I've met so many amazing and interesting people who are now close friends and had a chance to really reflect on life, appreciate what I have and what's important and put everything into perspective.
A very special trip, made up of new friends and incredible views. The feeling of summiting a 4000m mountain is incredible something that normal day to day life doesn't give you.
Over the course of this trip I learned more about myself than I expected, I pushed myself beyond what I thought would be my limits, even when each footstep was as painful as the last. Weeping on the side of a mountain whilst looking over the most stunning view of the alps wasn't somewhere I thought I'd find myself in 2020, but I'm so glad I did. 10/10.
